The Final Meeting of the NovelQ - Industry Advisory Platform (IAP)

Venue: Wageningen
Date: 5-6 October 2010


The final industry-oriented event includes:
  • mini-symposium on new scientific insights in the field of novel processing and packaging
  • technology market with a number of demonstrations on practical applications and one-to-one sessions with novel processing experts
  • debate on future perspective of food research in Europe

IAP Meeting is opened to its Members only. You wish to attend the meeting and your company is not the IAP Member, please register via the NovelQ website. The membership is opened to all private companies that are interested in novel processing development. It is free of charge.



The first European PhD Conference in Food Science and Technology organised by the EU-project NovelQ will be held in Berlin from 8 - 10 September 2010.

The key objectives of the conference are:
  • Promotion of young scientists
  • Stimulation of science-industry exchange
  • Strengthening of European food science research
Abstract submission deadline is 30th April 2010.

About NovelQ
NovelQ is an Integrated Project, contract no. FOOD-CT-2005-015710 funded by the European Commission, within the sixth Framework Programme, priority Food Quality and Safety. The main objective is to develop and successfully demonstrate - eco-friendly - novel processing technologies (high pressure processing, pulsed electric field processing, plasma, advanced heating technologies and packaging) for improved quality (fresh-like character, extended shelf-life) food. The project has started on 1 March 2006 and has a duration of 5 years. It has a total funding of 10.9 million Euro.

Industry Advisory Platform
Over 35 industries are members of the Industry Advisory Platform. The Platform will exploit and promote results of the project and identify bottlenecks to be examined in the NovelQ project. » read more
